Insects: An Exhibition by Takeshi Yoro and Kenji Kohiyama

The exhibition, “Insects: See, Feel, and Think with Takeshi Yoro and Kenji Kohiyama” has been touring Japan nationwide, opening at the Oita Prefectural Art Museum in July 2024, followed by the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum from March to May 2026, and the Toyota City Museum from July to September, with further showings scheduled from October onward at venues including the Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art and Kyushu Geibun-kan. Kaukokaipuu Kobo has created immersive 3D imagery using 3D Gaussian Splatting to bring to life the world of Professor Kohiyama’s “micro presence,” a central element of the exhibition. We have also produced video content that magnifies microscopic insects to the extreme. These innovative visual experiences are attracting considerable attention from insect enthusiasts.

養老孟司と小檜山賢二の虫展
